Organizational History
Princeton University's Program in Latin American Studies was founded in 1966 as an interdisciplinary course of study to supplement the regular undergraduate or graduate curriculum. Through course offerings, programming, and cultural events the Program in Latin American Studies offers students the opportunity to study the culture and history of the region from multiple perspectives.
Description
Consists of publications, event information, and other informational materials about the Program in Latin American Studies. Also included are the records of the Helen Doherty Lassen Fellowship, awarded annually to a student in the Program in Latin American Studies, which contain files on past recipients, press releases, correspondence of the selection committee, and information about the origins of the Henry L. and Grace Doherty Charitable Foundation. The records also contain video recordings of PLAS conferences and seminars from 1992-2001.

Access to materials pertaining to the Helen Doherty Lassen Fellowship is restricted. All other records are open for research use.
