Biography

Kenneth Sherman Clark was a member of the Princeton Class of 1905. As an undergraduate he was the conductor of the Triangle Club orchestra and composed many of the original songs featured in its performances. He also authored a series of songs dedicated to Princeton including the popular "Going Back to Nassau Hall." In the years after Princeton, Clark was the supervising editor of the Paull-Pioneer Music Corporation and compiled several community song books which sold in the millions.

Description

Consists of the personal papers and sheet music of Kenneth Sherman Clark spanning his time at Princeton as well as his later career. Included are correspondence, royalty contracts, scrapbooks, photographs, articles, and handwritten sheet music for Triangle Club songs and other works. Much of the sheet music is oversized.
